204th MI Bn. changes responsibility

The 204th Military Intelligence Battalion (Aerial Reconnaissance) conducted a change of responsibility ceremony for Master Sgt. John Tucker and Command Sgt. Maj. Andrew Woods at the 204th Military Intelligence Battalion Hangar at Biggs Army Airfield June 27.

During the ceremony Woods assumed responsibility as the 204th MI Bn. command sergeant major. Lt. Col. Glenn E. Lapoint, 204th MI Bn. commander, served as the reviewing officer for the ceremony.

Prior to assuming the position, Woods was enrolled at the United States Sergeants Major Academy here. Woods has been in the Army since 1988. Woods was accompanied by his wife Jennifer Woods and their five children.

Tucker will be attending the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy and remain in the El Paso area. Tucker has been at the 204th MI Bn. since July 2011 and has served in the Army for 21 years.

In his farewell speech, Tucker thanked his Soldiers for their service and hard work.

“Keep your head down, shoulder into it and move forward,” Tucker said to his Soldiers before signing out as the 204th MI Bn. command sergeant major.
