1st AD’s headquarters battalion hosts first org day

The 1st Armored Division’s Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion held its first organizational day July 13 at Biggs Park.

It was an eventful day for the Soldiers and families of the “Gladiator” Battalion with more than 500 people in attendance. It was a day filled with sporting events for the battalion’s five companies, and games for the children.

At the end of the day’s string of events, there was a three-way tie among the Operations, Division Signal and 1st AD Band companies. In the end, the Division Signal Company won the tie-breaker event, which was a pushup competition. The company command teams with the most pushups after two minutes won.
