Nutrition Care Division,William Beaumont Army Medical Center:
The Nutrition Care Division, William Beaumont Army Medical Center joins the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in celebrating the 40th anniversary of National Nutrition Month. This year’s National Nutrition Month theme is “Eat Right, Your Way, Every Day.” March is a great time to rediscover the benefits of healthier eating habits and physical fitness. The “Eat Right, Your Way, Every Day” campaign encourages personalized healthy eating styles and recognizes that food preferences, lifestyle, cultural and ethnic traditions and health concerns all impact individual food choices. All foods fit in moderation and our registered dietitians can teach you how. Look for our Nutrition Tip of the Day on the WBAMC and Fort Bliss Facebook pages.
In honor of National Nutrition Month, NCD will also offer an additional Nutrition class every Thursday in March from noon to 1 p.m. in the Clinical Assembly Room on the first floor of WBAMC. The Thursday NNM classes are open to all, not just TRICARE Beneficiaries. St. Martin’s Dining Facility at WBAMC will also offer a “Healthy Plate of the Day” option as well as full nutrition facts labeling for menu items to make healthy choices easier throughout the month of March.
