Tour de Tolerance: Cyclists take off for the fourth annual Tour de Tolerance race sponsored by Sierra Providence Health Network. This event supports the El Paso Holocaust Museum and Study Center. Col. Ed Manning, Fort Bliss Garrison commander, was the guest speaker and kicked off the event. Manning also participated in the 5k run and took first place in his category. Audie Murphy Club revitalized under new rules


Named after a highly decorated Soldier, Sgt. Audie Leon Murphy served in World War II and is better known as a war hero and movie star. Murphy’s awards and decorations include the highest military award, the Medal of Honor, and others such as the Distinguished Service Cross, Silver Star with two oak leaf clusters, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star with two oak leaf clusters, Purple Heart with three oak leaf clusters.
